
Man City winger Jack Grealish believes he should be part of the Euro 2024 squad. And has heaped praise on caretaker boss Lee Carsley.
Grealish, 29, is left devastate after being left out of Gareth Southgate’s final 26-man squad. For the tournament, สมัคร ufabet which saw England lose to Spain in the final.
However, Carsley gave playmaker Zi a start in both games when he took over as caretaker manager from Southgate.
“I’ll be honest with you, I don’t really agree with that,” Grealish told the BBC.
Grealish admitted he felt he had not had the best season with his team but add: “You have to have a little bit of balance in every position on the pitch and I see myself as a fairly experienced player now.”
“I have a lot of trophies now, so you ask me if I should go (to the Euros). Yes, I still think I should go, but obviously it’s not like that.”
Asked if he thought he had to prove himself by returning to the England squad in September, he said: “Of course I want to come here to train well and play well.”
“I would like to thank Lee Carsley, the manager, for giving me the opportunity and trusting me,”
“It’s obviously meant a lot throughout my career to play under a manager who trusts me and communicates with me in the way he did in the last two camps. It’s helped me a lot.”
“It makes me feel like the manager really cares about me and I can’t speak highly enough of him.”
